Suho četkanje ili dry brushing vrsta je njege kože koja se navodno počela prakticirati još u antičkoj Grčkoj, no pojavljuje se u kulturama diljem svijeta, od Japana do SAD-a. Ponovni revival tretman je doživio 70-ih, kad ga je finski wellness guru Paavo Airola ponovno plasirao na listu trendi i djelotvornih tretmana kože.

On the growing list of wellness and beauty treatments is something called "DRY BRUSHING". Dry brushing is the process of using a brush with stiff bristles against the skin to help exfoliate dead cells from the skin surface and enhance blood flow. The “dry” part of dry brushing refers to the fact that neither the brush nor your skin should be damp while you do it. Among other benefits, dry brushing is said to increase drainage of lymphatic fluids, thereby flushing toxins from the body. Skin brushing is very invigorating and easy. Prva stavka na to-do listi jest – nabaviti četku od prirodnih vlakana, ponavljamo, prirodnih vlakana, jer će sintetika napraviti više štete nego koristi. Najbolji izbor je drvena četka s mekanim čekinjama i drškom kako biste mogli dohvatiti svaki milimetar svoga tijela. Četkajte kožu kružnim pokretima i uvijek prema srcu, počevši od stopala. Svaku zonu tijelu prođite nekoliko puta, a izbjegavajte intimno područje i oštećenu kožu. Pazite da ne četkate pregrubo, nikako ne biste smjeli stvoriti ogrebotine na koži, no vaša koža je pametan organ i možete očekivati da će se naviknuti i postati otpornija, pod uvjetom da ste u provođenju ovog tretmana redoviti. Nakon tretmana obvezno je tuširanje kako biste uklonili ostatke mrtve kože, a za pokretanje cirkulacije kombinirajte hladno i vruće tuširanje. Do you dry brush? I had an iridology taster session a couple of weeks ago from the lovely Claire at @_salutary_life and one of the things that came up was my lymphatic system needed some support and so I've invested in this brush I picked up at Superdrug so I can start dry brushing.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To get started you need a good quality brush. I've actually read that one without a handle encourages you to bend and move your body, so I'll probably take the handle off (it's removable). If you've got sensitive skin, you'll probably not want to do this more than once a fortnight, but for those of us with normal skin, 2-3 times a week before showering is great to remove dead skin, improve circulation and lymphatic drainage which also helps your body get rid of toxins. You need to brush in quick, circular upwards motions towards the heart, and your skin may be a little red afterwards.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At the moment, I'm using Pink Pepper essential oil with my dry brushing by dropping 2-3 drops onto the brush before I use it, which will help support my cells and immune system. When it's not so sunny and I'm not going to be out and about in our pool, I will also add Grapefruit oil too (it's one of the oils to avoid in the sun).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you dry brush with oils?
